The Nebula | ACTO2 and the Nebula | ACTO2  They contain trichloroacetic acid enriched with an innovative and functional blend of mandelic acid, vitamin B12, azelaic acid derivative, and perfluorocarbons. The synergistic action of the two phases (acidic and oxygenating) triggers instant cellular renewal and significant regeneration of the dermoepidermal layer, associated with cellular repair processes, while also improving the skin's tolerance to the product.

Comparison and Advantages of Nebula Peelings:

In contrast, the perfluorocarbons contained in Nebula | ACTO2 allow for non-irritating and safe oxygenation of the skin.

What is perfluorocarbon made of?

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) are man-made compounds that contain only fluorine and carbon. They are generally colorless, odorless, non-flammable gases at room temperature and mostly chemically non-reactive.

Is perfluorocarbon safe?

Perfluorocarbons are non-toxic, and there are no immediate health effects associated with exposure to them.

What is perfluorocarbon used for?

PFC applications are in theranostics (therapeutic and diagnostic). There are numerous diagnostic and therapeutic uses for PFCs, such as oxygenation, cancer treatment, cell therapy, and imaging.

What is the function of perfluorocarbons?

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) are fluorinated oils that dissolve high levels of oxygen and have low oxygen affinity, thus acting as effective oxygen delivery vehicles

Efficacy Studies

The effectiveness of Nebula | ACTO2  was tested through comparative studies against competing products that have a higher percentage of acids in their formulas.

Key parameters for the chemical peeling that were taken into account:

The keratolytic action of the product

The exfoliating action provided by the product,

Any potential side effects and the inflammatory response triggered by the product.

Keratolytic effect

Tests with competing products highlight the greater exfoliating power of the Nebula | ACTO2  compared to products with a higher concentration of acids. The chart shows how the stratum corneum removed after treatment is up to 12% thinner.

Dryness

Dryness is a factor that is directly proportional to the keratolytic action of a product. Therefore, an increase in dryness indicates greater exfoliation of the stratum corneum. The Nebula I ACTO2  have been shown to increase skin dryness by 10% compared to other products with a higher acid content in the formula.

Side Effects

The test took into account any common side effects that appear immediately after treatment with a chemical peel. The test results show that the Nebula I ACTO2  , despite having higher keratolytic activity, cause significantly fewer side effects than those caused by other competing products.

Interleukin-1α (IL-1α) is primarily produced in large quantities by keratinocytes: under normal conditions, it is stored within the keratinocytes, but it can be released in the event of damage or in the presence of various types of stimuli.

The main role of IL-1α is to maintain the skin's barrier functions by preventing pathogenic microorganisms from entering the body; therefore, its release indicates a significant inflammatory response.

Comparative tests against a competing product show that Nebula | ACTO2 can significantly reduce the production of IL-1α by more than 15%, providing a soothing effect.

Conclusions

The results of both in vitro and in vivo tests show that Nebula | ACTO2 are safe and effective products.
